December Bright Moon Salon: How will we support one another?

We shine brightest when our brilliance is reflected back to us like the moon reflects the sun.

When we met in June with our Bright Moon Salon Honored Guest, Cady Rutter, she talked to us about being a Creative Conduit, one whose creativity is spurred on by making things possible for other creative folks. I love the idea of us building upon this, as we made use of this concept in the Bright Moon Salon last month when we asked “What do we dream of?”, and shared our dreams for the future we want to create with each other. Our theme in December the week of the winter solstice is: How will we support one another?

The notion that the Salon would be building upon itself as a resource as we welcome more people and contributions into the monthly meet up is inherent in its DNA. As we gather on Monday, December 18th from 6-8pm central, we will continue the conversations from previous months, but will also hold action in our hearts as we provide reflection and support for what each of us dream of creating in our lives as each day following the solstice on the 21st carries a bit more light and hope from the day before.

This is a hybrid event held at the Arthouse, as well as online via zoom.

Established July 2022, The Bright Moon Salon is a monthly meet up of creative individuals invested in supporting each other by holding space for the individual within the collective. Each month on an evening leading up to the full moon, we gather to share our insights and talents while engaging the group in conversations and activities that support the deepening of what it means to be in community.

Some months we have an honored guest, and other months we have a theme that we each bring our unique perspectives to. A new element that we are currently trying out is the idea of a hybrid session, which allows individuals or small groups to join those who gather at the Arthouse. This allows for flexibility in how we show up, especially if weather, location, illness or energy levels are a consideration.
