Dinner Party Guest # 5: Kelsy Osterman

To have Kelsy Osterman as a guest at The Arthouse, just as we were converging for the Mother Trees dinner was one of the happiest coincidences of the summer. It actually felt like kismet, as she was the hairstylist for the first Gray Matter Series collaboration and her presence felt like a thread woven into the tapestry of the experience itself. (I even got an outdoor haircut on the front porch of the Arthouse, which felt like such a sweet luxury.)

Over the years, have called Kelsy Osterman a hair magician, an artist, collaborator, and a dear friend. All of these continue to be true, and more-so than ever.

She has a vision, and the will to see its expression made real. She is true-blue-dedicated to those she loves and believes in, and am honored to have our orbits run concurrently frequently enough to feel the warmth of her sunshine.

As we are preparing the Arthouse Gallery for our Mother Trees event this weekend, Kelsy is also preparing her own grand opening reveal for the Minneapolis location of Spoke & Weal in the former Soap Factory building along the Mississippi River. If you’re in Minneapolis, check it out and schedule your cut/color with Kelsy and her crew.

And of course, if you are able to make it to the Arthouse for the Mother Trees exhibit at the Studio Crawl, you will be treated to a photo and a poem that she created about the dinner and her stay with us.
