Dinner Party Guest #3: Sarah Faith Strong

One can so easily fall in love with the photography of Sarah Faith Strong. She captures that moment at a party where everyone has had just enough wine to feel all in synch and just tipsy enough. It is the authentic, messy, sweet joy of being in company with folks you have known for years, or the ones whom you just met but feel like you must have known for years.

I absolutely knew I wanted Sarah to document this dinner party for the Mother Trees. She sees the beauty in the perfectly imperfect details. The magnificent in the mundane. Going through the photos of the night, I was immediately transported back to the joy and depth of people I love getting to know each other- some for the very first time.

One of my favorite things that comes with collaboration is being able to bypass the small talk and go straight to the energy of creativity in the shared experience. Similarly, the artistry she brings to the images she captures comes from a finely-tuned vision to the essence of shared moments that I think all of our hearts are craving more of right now.
