The Bright Moon Salon March Guest is Amy Johnson

I am really looking forward to the Bright Moon Salon this month. I mean, I always look forward to it. Yet this month we have a guest who has helped me evolve my health in remarkable ways, after having a tremendously humbling set of health-related experiences last spring that left me on a number of medications. Turns out it was actually perimenopause that had been misunderstood and misdiagnosed by the doctors I had seen.

I have been working with Functional Nutritionist Amy Johnson of Nirmana for the last several months to address the true cause, and am reducing my meds through making adjustments to how, what, and when I eat.

Amy will be talking to us about navigating perimenopause and menopause with food. Addressing women's unique hormonal needs with a holistic approach. We will start by taking a quiz to get an idea of where we are in terms of hormones, perimenopause and menopause and then discuss some nutrition and lifestyle changes we can make to start feeling better or prepare us for the changes up ahead.

As with previous Bright Moon Salons, there will be an element of connection and sharing in circle, while learning from a member of our community. We come together each month in the days leading up to the Full Moon to recognize that we are more of ourselves when we reflect eachothers’ brilliance back to each other.

The Bright Moon Salon is a hybrid event that will take place Monday, March 18th from 6-8pm central at the Arthouse and online via zoom.
